We rode to Tagaytay City last January 19, 2014.  We assembled at 5:00 am and left 6:00 am and went to Taytay to meet:  Master E, Tsalap Joel, and Strongman Ado.  There was  road race going on Taytay, but we were able to leave as scheduled.  We passed at C6 without any incident and were in Camp Bagong Diwa before 7:00.  After a brief rest, we rode up to Daang Hari cor Alabang road where as usual, the very strict security guard asked us to leave their sidewalk (its theirs)  We were there at about 7:30.   Then we rode fast and furious up to Bacoor.  We were there by 8:00 am.

We ate Joel’s Tsalap2 bibingka, met Jericos clones guarding the large vacant lot, young mt bikers from Makati.  And from Bacoor we went up to Aguinaldo highway, and towards the irrigation open canal road.   and then left towards Gen Trias.  At the Villar Asia Leaf Subdivision, we stopped and ate corn.  All of us ate corn.  We were there by 9:15.  We anticipated that we would be in Tagaytay by about 10.  So we rode up to Mcdo where we turned left to the Crisanto de los Santos Highway going up to Amadeo.  it was about 10 km of ride.  At Amadeo, we were met by Jethro Garcia , who is planning a Calabarzon ride..  We were in Amadeo by 10 am From Amadeo, it is another 7 km or so of uphill climb to Tagaytay.  I arrived in Tagaytay by 10:45.   They could have been here about 10 minutes earlier.  But I was ahead of Vic, Gerry, Jerico, Ado and Ben.

We decided we would not be going down further to Nasugbu. So we ate at the intersection eating siomai, pusit and rice, drinking softdrinks.  But the wind was blowing cold and we were shivering.  We decided to ride down by 11:45, about one hour later.   Jethro left us at the Amadeo road intersection of Silang.  I lead the peloton  at about 1 km past Amadeo town proper and up to Gen Trias, where the tropa took over.   We were at Lyceum Gen Trias by 12:20 and they would have arrived at Daang Hari Petron by 1:30.  We arrived there at about 1:45.  Ado had a flat at Daang  Hari before Bacoor.  We stayed and munched for almost one hour at Petron Daang Hari (which has become  favorite watering hole)  The Seckyu and the crew were anxious.  We were twenty plus and we could overpower them.

We rode from Petron by about 2:20 and we were quite early.  We were at Bicutan near C6 by 3:00.  Again the ride was fast and furious.   At C6, I struggled.  The troop left me in the jingle stop and had to ride very hard alone facing the headwind.  We were at Highway 2000, where we usually part ways with the Taytay guys, at about 4:00 pm

We were at home by 4:20.  It was a hard ride.

I am about to be 60 this month. I started biking 4 years ago on doctors advice to be healthy: to cure rheumatism, reduce blood sugar, cholesterol, and in general to stay healthy and happy. I got hooked on biking and never looked back. I own 4 bikes, and the top of the line is a fuji sl l full carbon with campagnolo l0 speed changer. I look forward to more years of biking more camraderie with fellow bikers. I am a businessman, and a professor in a graduate school of business in the Philippines on the side. Ha ha ha
